Hotel De La Paix’s Connect Program receives global recognition

Siem Reap Airport Arrival Private Transfer
Hôtel de la Paix Siem Reap has received global recognition for the improvements it has brought to the Siem Reap community through its Connect Program, which allows travellers to interact and work with the local community.

During the First Choice Responsible Tourism Awards at the World Travel Market in London, Hotel de la Paix was awarded the ‘Best Large Hotel/Accommodation’ in providing an admirable responsible tourism model. The awards recognise that all types of tourism should be operated in a way that respects and benefits destinations while rewarding the local population.

“It has been a wonderful experience to open this great hotel in Siem Reap and at the same time introduce our Connecting Programme and see the benefits within the community to our values of participating and giving back,” Hotel de la Paix General Manager Mr Joe Polito said.

Through Hotel de la Paix’s Connect Program, international guests immerse themselves in the local community and assist the local Cambodians as well as the local schools.

“A strong element of social and community responsibility underpins the philosophy of the hotel and the entire team at the Hotel de la Paix should feel very proud of the results they have been able to achieve,” concluded Mr Polito.
