Sofitel is setting new benchmarks in executive lounges, with the
launch of skyline Club Sofitel lounges at both
Sofitel Melbourne and
Sofitel Brisbane.
Significantly, both Club Sofitel Lounges have been converted from
high-profile restaurants, highlighting the changes in priority for
corporate travellers, who are demanding the best in business
services over and above haute cuisine.
Sofitel
Melbourne has converted its famous 35th-floor Le Restaurant,
consistently voted the best fine dining hotel restaurant in
Australia, into the city’s most spectacular corporate lounge. The
bold new Club Sofitel Lounge boasts unparalleled views over the city
and features a sculptural freestanding fireplace as its focal point,
surrounded by stylish circular seating. Decorated in a neutral
palette with green accents and warm timber finishes, Club Sofitel
has been custom-designed to cater to corporate travellers’ every
need.
Meanwhile
the Club Sofitel Lounge at
Sofitel Brisbane has also been converted out of the hotel’s
former 30th-floor restaurant, Denison’s, and boasts skyline views
over Brisbane. This $2 million oasis for corporate guests provides
an exclusive environment in which to work, entertain or relax.
Brisbane’s most sophisticated corporate lounge boasts an elegant,
contemporary décor and provides a full range of corporate facilities
and services. including private check-in and check-out at reception;
workstations with printer, fax and wireless internet;
state-of-the-art facilities with the latest AV technology; a
recreation room with the latest electronic games and DVD films; a
lounge with large plasma TVs; toilets and showers, a one-stop
concierge service for restaurant reservations, tourist information
etc; a luggage store at reception; two buffet areas, a bar and a
private dining room.
Guests at both lounges will be able to enjoy all-day refreshments
and evening canapés and drinks. Again Sofitel will set the standards
in its food and beverage offerings, taking executive lounge dining
to a new level, thanks to the input of celebrated chef Michael
Moore.
Further enhancing the offering to business travellers at both
hotels is Sofitel’s exclusive MyBed which ushers in a whole new
concept in rest with a guarantee of plush softness that provides
busy travellers with the most essential aspect of any hotel stay – a
good night’s sleep.
Sofitel Brisbane has also created two new room types to cater to
those guests who desire a more privileged level of accommodation.
Sofitel Concierge Class provides designated priority check-in and
check-out, a welcome drink, premium floor accommodation between
levels 22-25 and Sofitel’s unique MyBed comfort.
Guests seeking the best views the city has to offer can select
Club Sofitel on levels 26-29, which as well as the advantages of
Concierge Class, provides access to the Club Sofitel Lounge, evening
drinks and canapés, Club breakfast and valet parking.
Sofitel Melbourne’s launch of Club Sofitel has been complemented
by a $23 million upgrade of the hotel with all rooms fully renovated
and the creation of an all-suite Level 50 that boasts Melbourne’s
finest collection of executive suites with the city’s best views.
