Foreign tourists interested in enjoying a maritime holiday might consider a
trip to Danang - the beautiful harbor city in central
Vietnam, an exciting
experience not to be missed next July.
 Coming
to Danang next summer, visitors could take part in thrilling marine
activities like the canoe race, or water-skiing on the wavy waters of the
city’s long beaches. They could also participate in a cuisine competition
and Vietnamese folk games.
In addition, the festival would include an exhibition on socio-economic
achievements that the city gained in recent years.
At present, local authority and tourist companies are preparing for the
event which aims to promote the city’s tourist trademark, said the Danang’s
Department of Tourism.
Last year, Danang authorities announced that 2005 would be the city’s
year to focus on boosting tourism with special tour programs planned for
March, June and December 2005.
Cultural and tourist activities will take place all over the city,
including downtown trips along the Han River, maritime tours from Son Tra
mountain to Marble mountain and ecological travel packages to beautiful
spots in Ba Na mountain and Hai Van pass.
To make the city more interesting in eyes of foreign tourists, many
cultural exchanges, art and sports performances like the
Hong Kong – Danang yacht
race, and the central pop music festival will take place in the city next
year.
With 1,400 newly built hotel rooms within the city limits, travelers can
rest easy with the knowledge that they will have a comfortable place to rest
their head during their stay. |
