The meeting, provided the visiting delegates with an opportunity to experience Dubai and its diverse tourist attractions and would result in attracting more visitors from Europe to the emirate because the attendees are all decision makers whose opinions command a lot of respect in their wider travel trade communities.

The visiting delegation was received by DTCM Manager Missions Mr. Hamad bin Mejren who gave them a comprehensive presentation about Dubai and its attractions which was well-received by the group.

Executive Vice President Sales for Lufthansa, Mr. Thierry Antinori said, "Dubai is a top tourist spot offering a plethora of activities. The conference, which was held for the first time, has been very successful and we will definitely look at holding it again next year."

The visiting delegates were very impressed with all the facilities and the new developments underway in Dubai.

The number of German passengers passing through Dubai Airport saw a 16 per cent increase in 2003 over the previous year while the number of Dubai hotel establishment guests from Germany reached 121,819 during the first six months of 2004.
