Fed up with those hotels that charge silly amounts for broadband access?
Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts is listening to such travellers opinions and
is soon to offer Free Broadband - as part of its E@syConnect service concept
- across all its hotels in
Europe, the
Middle East
and Africa.
The Free Broadband service includes high-speed as well as wireless
Internet access. Since most Radisson SAS hotels are wired, all hotel guests
can access the Internet from anywhere in the hotel: rooms, meeting
facilities or public areas, simply by using their name and room number.
“Free Broadband as a service is what guests want from hotels today. This
service underscores the commitment Rezidor SAS has made to continue to meet
the new expectations of contemporary business and leisure travellers.” said
Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor SAS Hospitality.
Rezidor SAS believes that broadband services, wired or not, are soon
going to be what guests expect at a first class hotel; along with a
bathroom, a bed, a telephone and television, free high-speed Internet access
will be part of standard guestroom amenities.
In the beginning of 2005, Radisson SAS completed installation of wireless
Internet access (WiFi) at most of its hotels, a significant investment by
the group to deliver a highly convenient and cost effective service to its
guests.
“With the fast growing number of hotspots and true mobile computers,
business professionals can work more efficiently away from the office,” said
Finn Schulz, Vice President of Information Technology at Rezidor SAS
Hospitality. “Radisson SAS offers a convenient and useful service that not
only makes it easy for users to get connected to the Internet and their
corporate networks, but by making the service complimentary it cuts
corporate and leisure expenses.”
Free Broadband will be available in most Radisson SAS hotels by 1
September 2005, however, a few hotels might not be able to offer it until
the end of the year.

SAS Hotel Lyon 
The Radisson SAS Hotel Lyon, Europe's tallest hotel, is a deluxe
property located in the heart of the city of Lyon. In the hotel's fine
dining restaurant, 'L'Arc en Ciel', guests will be charmed by the
exceptional views of Lyon's old quarter and monuments as they sample the
culinary delights of exquisitely prepared fare. The hotel's 245 guest
rooms are located around a central atrium from the 33rd to 39th floor.
They have been recently redecorated and feature all the facilities of an
international class hotel. In addition, all rooms command breathtaking
views over Lyon and surrounding countryside. |
