Dubai Festival City to make 'Mega Hospitality Announcement' at Arabian Travel Market 2005

Dubai Festival City, the iconic ‘city-within-a-city’ being built on the banks of Dubai Creek, is primed for a mega hospitality announcement at the Arabian Travel Market which takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 3-6th May.

The mixed-use destination is promising to deliver a new hospitality concept for the region, which it believes will place the waterfront destination firmly on the world’s business and leisure travel map.

“At ATM we plan to introduce a completely new hospitality experience which will greatly differentiate Dubai Festival City from other developments in the region,” said Bassem Terkawi, Public Relations and Events Manager, Dubai Festival City.

Located directly on the banks of the Dubai Creek, the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel is within walking distance to Dubai's commercial and shopping districts, near the Dubai Gold market, Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club. It is only 6 kilometres from the Dubai International Airport. This 255-room hotel now offers more creek-view rooms, redesigned atrium lobby, outstanding food and beverage facilities, upgraded rooms with state-of-the-art data connectivity and Dubai's newest conference facilities.

The Middle East’s largest, privately-funded mixed-use development has targeted the high profile Arabian Travel Market as a key platform to unveil its world-class hospitality offering.

“Arabian Travel Market attracts a huge international and regional media corps and a gathering of some of the region’s and the world’s top travel and tourism as well as MICE buyers,” said Terkawi. “Our intention is to ensure they understand and appreciate the level of offering we will deliver.”

Earlier this year Dubai Festival City hit the hospitality headlines with the announcement of its Four Seasons Golf & Country Club and 150-berth Festival Marina super-yacht hub.

The Four Seasons Golf & Country Club, due to open early 2007, will include the magnificent 18-hole Creekside Al Badia golf course, designed by master golf course architect Robert Trent Jones II. It will also house Al Badia’s exclusive clubhouse and associated facilities, tennis and squash courts as well as beauty, spa, massage and wellness rooms.

The Festival Marina is designed to deliver a Mediterranean marina lifestyle reminiscence of Nice and Cannes.
