The official opening ceremony will take place on 26th May at 12 noon, at the venue and will be presided over by the Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam, Ad Swartjes Chairman of Telegraaf Media Groep, Expomedia's partners on the Dutch market and Roger Shashoua Chairman of Expomedia.

EXPO XXI Amsterdam is the latest venue in the EXPO XXI International Expocentres chain of state-of-the-art events centres. It is a newly built and ultra-modern 2,700m² congress, events and exhibitions venue and part of the €1 billion Mahler complex, comprising 210,000m² of mixed development, located in the Southex main financial district of Amsterdam. EXPO XXI Amsterdam provides ultra-modern space suitable for a wide range of events, within easy access of the centre of the city and all local transport connections including Schiphol international airport. It also offers full service and organiser support and a host of on-site amenities as well as parking for 2,000 cars.

Musea in Amsterdam

When you would like to bring a visit to a museum, Amsterdam has a lot to offer. Every museum is perfectly reachable by public transport from EXPO XXI. You can go to the Rijks- and the Van Gogh Museum on the Museumplein, but the modern art is also richly presented in the city.

Think of the Stedelijk Museum or the Cobramuseum in Amstelveen. Scientific themes are more and more interesting for the public. Energetica and Nemo combine science with attractions and guarantee an educational as well as an amusing visit.

Damquarter

A lot of important museum are at walking distance from each other. The museum under the name of “Damquarter” are: The Royal Palace, The New Church, The Old Church, The Museum Beurs van Berlage, The Amsterdam Historical Museum and the Amstelkring Museum. There is also a broad offer of galleries, especially in the Spiegelquarter and the fames quarter Jordaan.

Amsterdam Pass, the official product of the Amsterdam Tourist Board, is your entrance ticket to a list of museums, city's attractions and all buses, trams and metros in Amsterdam.
