
This the 400th anniversary of the publication of Miguel de Cervantes' Don
Quixote and the region of Castilla-La Mancha in
Spain is celebrating.
The region is spending $66 million on 2,005 art exhibitions, concerts,
plays and other activities.
One aspect of the celebration includes a 620-mile Route of Don Quixote
that begins in the ancient town of Toledo and links historic towns and
natural preserves with 4,000 markers to lead the way. The route can be done
on foot, by bicycle or by car. |
